WOW.... Ch.. ch... changes!

Okay, maybe not the changes you were expecting if you've read through my other posts.
The biggest change? We are older! Wiser! (?) Well.... hopefully we are.

The short story?
Jim and I still together. We did the counseling thing for awhile and it definitely helped.
I guess, to be truthful I am still a little wary. Needless to say I am no longer friends with the person he was messing around with. I still have to live next to her, which makes things hard every damned day. But I will toughen up, I am sure.

I need to find my center again. I need to trust again. And it is going to be a long road. Things are strained... quiet between my husband and I.

My kids are growing like crazy.

My oldest daughter amazes me every day. (Actually, all my kids do.) She lost her boyfriend in January. He passed away suddenly and she was (understandably) devastated. We all were.
She is beautiful and brave and talented in so many different ways. I am just in awe of her. She will grow up to do great things. She will be a junior in high school next year.

My son is now the tallest one in the house. Wears a size 13 shoe... and I swear he has never been "full" a day in his life. He eats.... and eats... and eats some more. And bless him, he never gains an ounce. I am beginning to think they put miracle grow in all the food he eats.
He started archery a couple months ago and has been doing very well with that.

Then there is Kaecee... the 6 year old. She is just a ball of energy. With no off switch. She also has a bad case of what we call "the butterflies" . That is when they get easily distracted. "Hey! Look at me I can swing this high... oh look a butterfly!...."
She got in trouble today at school and had to stay in from recess. I kind of feel bad for her, but have to back up the teacher when she says that an adult told Kaecee to (or not to, as the case may be) touch something and Kaecee did anyway. Now, granted, Kaecee's heart was in the right place. She didn't want someone's property to be lost. But still. Yeah. Gotta go with the teacher on this one. I have been trying for ages to get Kaecee to listen. Maybe a few recesses spent indoors on a bright sunny day will get her on the same page as everyone else.

Who am I kidding? It's Kaecee's World most times. We just are special enough to be a part of it.

I will try to start writing more now that I found this again. I am sure there is tons more to talk about.

Take care and God Bless. =)

Andrea
